1/2 lb mild ground breakfast sausage
1 onion- diced
1 1/2 teas garlic, diced
14 oz tomato sauce
1/2 small can tomato paste
8 oz diced canned tomatoes
1 large pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 c Parmesan cheese
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 cube butter
1/2 pint whipping cream
1/2 teas marjoram
1/2 teas basil
1/2 teas thyme
1 teas oregano
2 teas parsley
1/2 teas thyme
1 teas oregano
2 teas parsley
1 TAB sugar
salt & pepper to taste
1. Brown meat with 1/2 teas garlic & onion. Drain fat off. Add all tomato ingredients & all spices. Simmer 10-30 min.
2. In another pan melt butter, cream cheese, & 1 teas garlic. Mixture will be lumpy. Add whipping cream & Parmesan. Cook until lumpy & almost melted.
3. Place cooked ziti noodles in 9x13 baking dish . Cover with white sauce & mix with noodles. Spoon red sauce over top. Cover with mozzarella & bake 350* for 30 min or until cheese bubbles. Keep covered with foil until last 10 minutes of baking.
