Summer Berry Trifle

This picture is an approximation of what your trifle could look like.  Mine was much more messy looking...  And, I used a mish-mash of recipes, so you could get away with deleting any of my layers or adjusting amounts.  Danny loves it when I use 6 bowls to make something. ; )  The end result was popular, though.

5-6 c. berries (any mix of sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1/2 c. raspberry jam

Reserve at least 1 c. of berries for top.  Mix the rest gently with the jam in one bowl.

8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sour cream and/or vanilla yogurt
1 tsp. vanilla

In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar.  Then mix in sour cream and/or yogurt and vanilla.

1 lg. pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
1 1/2 c. milk

In another bowl, beat pudding with milk for 2 minutes.

1 1/2 c. heavy cream
1 Tab. sugar
(or you could sub these with cool whip)

In another bowl, whip cream with sugar to stiff peaks stage.

2 prepared angel food cakes (or equivalent amount of lady fingers or pound cake)

Cut these into 1 inch cubes.

Layer all of these mixtures until you run out.  You might start with angel food cake on the bottom and finish with the whipped cream on the top.  Garnish with your reserved berries.
